Eating before drinking

Myth: Nobody eats before they drink.

Fact: In a recent survey of Georgetown undergraduates 94.8% said that they usually or occasionally eat a meal or snack before going drinking. More impressive 81.3% say that they never deliberately NOT eat before drinking. The amount of food you consume effects how quickly or slowly the alcohol you drink enters the bloodstream-- eating a big meal will not prevent the alcohol from entering your bloodstream.
