Hair of the dog
Myth: Drinking more alcohol (e.g. a bloody mary) the morning after a night of heavy drinking will cure a hangover.
Fact: This mythical remedy has never been proven to work. Although it may temporarily distract the drinker from his or her symptoms, it is just that—temporary. This type of behavior can be a major precursor to alcohol abuse and sends a red flag that the drinker may have a serious drinking problem.
